Having at least two pillow protectors per pillow will allow you to have one in the wash while the other is being used on the pillow. 2 months ago Want to know more about our franchise? Your Cleaner recently changed its name from Perfectly Maid, read the reasons why....
What ‘maid’
us change?
Why would we change our name when it seems perfectly ok as it is? Sometimes you have to look to your future for the answer……
Overall, Perfectly Maid has been very good to us, however over the past three years I found being a ‘Maid’ also had its fair share of problems!
The first time ‘name change’ was thrown around was around 12 months ago, when our office conducted spot competitor analysis and discovered how many ‘Maids’ had sprung up over the past 2 years….how do we compete with this clutter?? Who is going to remember us? Do Aussies really want a ‘Maid’?
It was barely noticeable while we were a micro business but as we grew in size, it became evident that ‘Maid’ was so generic that customers had trouble remembering which company we were.
Secondly, the word ‘Maid hints to services above and beyond cleaning including, ironing, bed making, dishwashing and other ‘Maid’ style services, non of which we offered as part of our cleaning service.
Finally, it was time to address the gender imbalance in our brand (the pink logo with lady for example). The increasing number of men joining our system as franchisees meant that we needed to consider their interest in the brand having broader market appeal.
It was agreed by all that a name change now would be easier than in 5 years when the system was much larger, so we acted.
After all, isn’t that part of what makes a small company great, the ability to quickly adapt to the market place?
Introducing = Your Cleaner
Simple, easy to remember and describes who we are; your cleaner!
With a new logo in production, Perfectly Maid will be phased out over the coming months in stages, giving franchisees and customers plenty of time to get used to our new brand.
So think very carefully now about the way you want your brand to be perceived by stakeholders of your business. Your business name is the first point of contact for customers and their positive response to it is crucial in your long term success. Ask yourself the following important questions:
1. Do people react positively when you tell them the name?
2. Are you proud telling people the name? (If you’re embarrassed by it, change it now!)
3. Is the name unique? (if you can be confused with the competition, change it)
4. Is the name relevant to your industry?
5. Can you tell what the business does from the name? (if not, consider a tag line or slogan that goes with the logo wherever its shown)
Learn from our mistake; get the name right early as it may be hard to change later!

How do I keep my house clean with time to spare? - 1 year ago
How do I keep my house clean with time to spare?
Everyone wants to have an immaculate house, but the
reality is that time is our enemy and the last thing we feel like doing at the end of the day is face the dusting or cleaning the bathroom. We know the house needs to be cleaned once per week to maintain it but the demands of modern living mean that achieving this goal is close to impossible for many people. This is the reason for an explosion in demand for quality home cleaning services in Australia. However, trust is an important issue for people looking for a cleaner; they want to know that the person in their home is known to them, is reliable, trustworthy and won’t take advantage of their good will. This is the reason for most people avoiding so called ‘mom and pop’ services and opting for a professional company who only provide professionally trained cleaners who actually understand quality cleaning. The other benefit of using a company like Your cleaner is that the cleaners supply all equipment, natural products and are fully insured. A company that cares about the service they provide is rare but if you know where to look, they are certainly still around. It is interesting to note that a quality service doesn’t mean expensive. In fact, Your Cleaner often beat competitors in price while providing a superior service every time. When searching for a cleaner, keep the following tips in mind:
• Any cleaner you appoint to clean your home must have insurance. The insurance should cover breakage in your home as well as public liability in case you or someone in your home is injured by the actions of the cleaner. You must have your own contents insurance to cover the cleaners if they hurt themselves, there is no way to cover you for this (don’t believe a company that states otherwise).
• Beware of price shopping, separate value over price. What is the company offering; quality, reliability, the same cleaners, supplying all equipment, fully insured? Compare this to no insurance, cash payment, no training….it may become a false economy.
• Referrals from friends and family are great but there is no guarantee those cleaners have a time available for you. If you have to find a new cleaner, spend some time researching them, go to their website and see if they stand for the same things you do. Do they have an environmental conscience? What products do they use? Do they use quality Vacuums?
• Ask what cleaning products the company uses, if they are unsure or seem unwilling to tell you, start looking elsewhere. Natural products are as good as the old, nasty bleaches of yesteryear and don’t leave the nasty residue. Demand the best for your family.
In Australia we have some fantastic cleaning companies that you can trust, one of them being Your Cleaner. They provide a professional service, are reliable, honest and consistent, so you can focus on your time to relax.

How do I find a great house cleaner? - 1 year ago
How do I find a great house cleaner?
Too Busy? You’re not alone; statistics show that time is so
precious that there is literally not enough hours in the day to clean their house. Are you one of those people who walk through your home cringing about areas that need your attention but you can’t find the energy to actually do them? Get yourself a home cleaner! They aren’t as expensive as you might think and it will change your life, for the better. A professional cleaning company will only provide high quality, fully screened and trained cleaners to your home so you don’t have to worry. Honesty, reliability and consistency are the minimum expectation you should have, along with quality, professional and friendly. As we all know, expecting these things is one thing, but finding a company to deliver is another! See below for some tips:
• Check out the company, do they have a website? Is it saying what you want to hear? Does it have meaningful content? Are there contact numbers? You should be able to phone the company if you are having any problem whatsoever and be able to speak to a real person.
• If you are looking for a regular service, keep in mind that weekly or fortnightly is the only way to go. A fortnightly service is more than adequate if you are prepared to do the cleaning in the off week, at least the floors, dusting, bathrooms will still look ok in between. A weekly service is fantastic if you can afford it as most of the house will not require any attention from you!
• Make contact with the company you like and test their response times. Do emails get replied to quickly? Do they answer their phones? It can be very frustrating trying to contact a company in an emergency if they aren’t there for their customers.
• What is included in the service? Will the company show you a list? You should know exactly what is done as part of the service.
• Fixed price or hourly rate? Hourly rates are fraught with danger, beware. It is common for cleaners who charge an hourly rate to leave a house partially finished as their time is up. With a fixed price however, as long as you have received the standard cleaning list, you can be sure that the whole house will be cleaned thoroughly each visit.
As a national franchise, Your Cleaner has the resources to train cleaners to a high standard and spend time on improving services and products used in your home. As a specialist home cleaning company, Your Cleaner will always provide the best service and give you more Time to Relax!
